Highlights

Day 1

In the morning start your journey towards the serene landscapes of Pobla de Lillet.
Enjoy a delightful lunch at “La Borda de Lillet,” a cozy eatery that offers local flavors and ingredients transformed into culinary adventure.

After lunch embark on a unique journey through time and terrain aboard the historic Cement train. This vintage train ride not only offers stunning views of the landscape but also provides insight into the town’s industrial heritage. It was originally constructed in the early 20th century to transport the cement produced in the region.

Depart from the old train station of La Pobla de Lillet for your trip and get-off at the masterpiece of Antoni Gaudi – the Artigas Gardens.

Gaudi came to La Pobla de Lillet to design the Xalet del Catllaras, that should accomodate the engineers of coal mines, located in Catallaràs mountain. During his stay in La Pobla de Lillet, he was accommodated at Artigas family house and in gratefulness for their hospitality, he designed a garden just behind the family factory: the Artigas Garden.

These meticulously designed gardens blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings, inviting you to wander amidst sculptures, pathways, and architectural marvels. Gaudí’s vision was to incorporate his distinct architectural style into a landscape, resulting in a harmonious fusion of nature and art.

Follow the marked itinerary inside the gardens in order to cover the TOP sights: the Cascade, the Ox & Lion fountains, the Grotto cave, the Arbour tower, the Original entrance gate, the Picnic place and the Arches bridge.

Day 2

Visiting the Sanctuary of Falgars, an emblematic site perched amidst the breathtaking views. The hermitage of Falgars Virgin is situated at an altitude of 1.288 metres and it can be reached by paved road, 7 kilometres away from La Pobla de Lillet.

Explore the sanctuary’s rich history and panoramic lookout point, allowing you to feel the embrace of nature and spirituality.

Relish a delightful lunch at “Restaurant de Falgars,” where you’ll savor regional delicacies while surrounded by the tranquil ambiance of the mountains.

After lunch head back to Barcelona or check the extended itinerary option in Other information below.
